Our Bed and Breakfast is one of only a few bed and breakfast properties within ½ mile of the great city of Bristol. We are just under a mile away from the city centre including Broadmead and Cabot Circus.
We are very close to the new development at Cargo 1 and 2 on Gaol Ferry Steps (just across Gaol Ferry Bridge). There are a wide variety of independent shops, bars, cafes and restaurants all selling top quality food and drink (often organic or home made). Wild Beer offers a large variety of craft ales.
We are within easy access of Ashton Court Estate which hosts, amongst other things, the famous Bristol Balloon Fiesta every summer.
The Guest House is a 10 minute walk to the SS Great Britain, Brunel’s famous ship, and the Harbourside, with Clifton and the Suspension Bridge within easy access.
We are close to Avonmouth, West-super-Mare and Bath. The House is within easy reach of the M32, M4 and M5 motorways.
The Glanville is just under a mile from Temple Meads train station, just over a mile from Bristol Bus Station and a 20 minute drive to Bristol Airport.
We are used by friends and relatives visiting people in the hospital (Bristol Royal Infirmary), the Childrens’ Hospital and the Maternity Hospital (St. Michael’s) as we are one and a half miles away.
Families of students at Bristol University and UWE also stay with us as we are a good base to visit the Universities and the City.
